In year 6 this week, we have been learning about how fossils are created and their significance in the scientific study of evolution. We also looked at what different types of fossils can tell us about organisms and how they have evolved over a period of time. To find out more, we analysed a range of fossil types before bringing science and art together to sketch what we thought an Archaeopteryx would have looked like (using a fossil) before it became extinct.
