This week, Year 1 were treated to a truly magical experience as they took part in a special workshop inspired by The Velveteen Rabbit. The children gathered together to hear the story read aloud, becoming completely absorbed in its gentle themes of love, imagination, and becoming “real”.
The excitement grew as the illustrator guided the children step-by-step in drawing their very own Velveteen Rabbit. Little faces lit up as sketches began to take shape, and every child proudly created a unique version of the beloved character.
It was a joyful, creative session that sparked imagination and filled the room with wonder. The children were captivated from start to finish and their enthusiasm shone through in every pencil stroke.
