Year 6 concluded mock SATs week with a practical maths lesson, consolidating their understanding of unit conversion. Children worked in groups to determine how many 10ml syringes would be required to fill their 500ml beakers, before going head to head –  in a timed relay race – to fill their groups 1000ml graduated cylinder. Once the race was over, children returned to their tables and worked together to convert their measurements for each round.
