In science this week, Year 4 were learning about how scientists have classified plants and animals. We learned two new pieces of vocabulary whilst classifying the animals into their groups: invertebrates and vertebrates. We now know that this means that vertebrates have backbones inside their bodies and invertebrates do not have a backbone.
