This week Year 1 went to the Hackney Museum. We travelled to the museum by bus and the children learned the importance of staying safe when going on school trips. At the museum, the children had the opportunity to explore the surroundings and they engaged with a wonderful task called ‘Suitcase Stories’. This helped the children understand that a very diverse range of people over many, many years have come to live in Hackney for different reasons. Year 1 now can’t wait for their next school trip!
