Today, during outdoor play, the 2-year-olds enthusiastically engaged in imaginative role play as pirates. They walked along a wooden plank, confidently balancing while singing the song “5 Little Monkeys.” At the end of each verse, the children joyfully jumped off the plank with a big smile, exclaiming “Arrr!” like a pirate, before eagerly climbing back up to begin the routine again.
