This week, to kick off our Science topic about plants, we read a book called ‘The Extraordinary Gardener.’ In the story, a little boy plants a seed from his apple core and then forgets about it. Eventually, he creates an extraordinary garden! In our lesson we used the skill of observing closely as we planted bell pepper seeds. We filled our pots with soil, made a well with our fingers and dropped the seeds in. We then covered the seeds with more soil. We know that our plants will need water, sunlight and space to grow. They are now living on the windowsill of our classroom. We are hoping that they will produce some big, colourful peppers!
