This week in Science the children in Year 1 have been looking closely at the parts of plants. We were very happy to use the new Science Lab to observe different plant species and discuss their differences. By the end of the two lessons this week, Year 1 felt confident when stating which parts of the plant grow above the ground (stem, leaves and flowers) and which part grows under the ground (roots). Finally, they enjoyed learning the names of and identifying common plants of the U.K.
