In Geography this week, we have been learning about the cause of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions across the world. We found that countries which sit around the Pacific Plate are prone to more natural disasters due to the placement of plate boundaries and volcanic hotspots. We then dug a little deeper, to further understand exactly what it is that initiates earth tremors and eruptions by learning about divergent, convergent and transform plate movements.
