In Maths this week, the children used Unifix cubes to explore making numbers in equal groups. They created pictorial and worded examples such as three groups of four and five groups of two, using the cubes to build each calculation practically. This hands-on approach helped them understand that while two groups of six and six groups of two have the same total, the way the groups are arranged looks completely different. The children enjoyed using the resources to deepen their understanding of grouping and multiplication concepts.
