This term, we have been learning about Buddhism in R.E. and the significance of the Four Noble Truths in reaching enlightenment as a Buddhist. The Buddha (Siddhartha) believed that by following the four rules in conjunction with the Eight-fold Path, a person could eliminate suffering from their life. As a class, we then explored the many causes of suffering in life and how these could be avoided using the teachings of the Buddha.
