As part of their ART module, Africa, Year 2 explored traditional fabrics from Kenya and other African countries. They carefully studied pictures, designs and colours and had the opportunity to handle and examine real materials and clothing. The children loved learning about the meaning behind the patterns and celebrating the rich variety of African textiles.
