This week at Dalston Curve Garden, the children were learning all about how seeds disperse. They discovered through listening to stories and exploring the garden that seeds can be planted by humans, transferred after being stuck to the fur of animals, blown in the wind and transported by rivers and streams. The children were also fascinated to learn that it’s even possible for seeds to be dispersed by explosion! We finished the afternoon off by making some very colourful artwork and we cannot wait to return for the next phase of the project.
