In Maths this week we continued our introduction to multiplication. We have been using the special maths vocabulary ‘factor’ and ‘product.’ The factors are the numbers which are multiplied together and the product is the whole. We learned that whenever one of the factors is 1, the product is always the same as the other factor, e.g 1 x 12 = 12 and 12 x 1 = 12. We played a game with number cards and multiplied the number card by 1. We then drew diagrams to show our understanding.
