This week in Nursery, we embarked on an exciting adventure with our new story: The Everywhere Bear by Julia Donaldson.  The story follows a classroom teddy bear who goes home each weekend with a different child. When the bear accidentally falls out of a student’s backpack, he goes on an unexpected adventure around town, encountering various animals, weather, and people along the way. We put our creative thinking caps on and made Lost posters for the Everywhere Bear! These were displayed around the classroom to help us “search” for him, just like in the story. The children enjoyed brainstorming ideas about how to bring the bear back safely.

Our little artists also explored different ways to create their own bears – by modelling clay and painting with forks (to create textured fur). The highlight of the week was meeting our very own Nursery Everywhere Bear! The children excitedly showed him around the classroom, demonstrating their daily routines and favorite activities. Starting this week, the bear will join one child at home every weekend for their own special adventures.
